Travis Scott's Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Reverse Mocha" Raked in 3.8 Million SNKRS Entries09/30/2022
Anytime Travis Scott‘s name is tied to a product initiative — especially on the footwear side — it’s bound to garner a considerable amount of attention. The Houston-born rapper teamed up with Jordan Brand this past Summer to release his highly-anticipated Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Reverse Mocha” collaboration, and it turns out that it was his biggest launch to date.
On Nike‘s fiscal 2023 recent first-quarter earnings call, the brand’s CEO John Donahoe confirmed that the kicks raked in 3.8 million SNKRS app entries — the most ever in the Swoosh’s history. Now whether or not these were actual human beings shooting their shot or sneaky bots running up the numbers is unknown, but it still goes to show the influence that the Cactus Jack rapper has on the sneaker community. This staggering number also comes as no surprise considering that his own website tallied up 2.4 million entries within a 30-minute span. The coveted collab now sits on the resell market for around $1,200 USD depending on the size.
In the coming months, Scott has Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Black Phantom,” “Olive” and “Sail Black” colorways in the pipeline, and it’s likely that these will attract the same amount of acclaim.
For other news, official images of the Zion Williamson x Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Voodoo” have surfaced.
