The Bachelorette stars: Where are they now?06/07/2021
Another year, another season of “The Bachelorette.” For years, we’ve been waiting patiently for season after season, watching the ladies have much more luck in love than the gentlemen over on “The Bachelor.” In honor of the 17th season premiere of “The Bachelorette” on June 7, 2021, Wonderwall.com found out what all the leads of the hit series are up to now. First up is Trista Rehn: The former Miami Heat cheerleader and physical therapist found love with fireman Ryan Sutter on the very first season of “The Bachelorette” in 2003.

Trista Sutter and Ryan Sutter are still going strong. They tied the knot in 2003 in a televised ceremony a few months after finding love on “The Bachelorette.” They had two children, Blakesley and Maxwell, and renewed their vows (on television, natch) in January 2013. In June 2021, after a mysterious year-long health battle, Ryan revealed on Trista’s “Better Etc.” podcast that he’d been diagnosed with Lyme disease, and things were further complicated by COVID-19 and Epstein-Barr virus diagnoses. “It’s been hard,” Trista said while reflecting on Ryan’s sickness. “It’s a really difficult thing to see the person that you love most in this world struggling. And he’s a big strong guy, and to see him get emotional and feel helpless in a way in that all I could do was really advocate for him. So that’s what I did.” The pair reside in Eagle County, Colorado.

After failing to find love on the third season of “The Bachelor” and being rejected by Bob Guiney, makeup artist and model Meredith Phillips became the star of “The Bachelorette” for the show’s second season in 2004. She ended up picking Ian McKee, and the two got engaged.

Meredith Phillips and Ian McKee called it quits a year later, breaking up in February 2005. The former model went on to publish a cookbook in 2008, “The Date Night Cookbook: Romantic Recipes for the Busy Couple.” She married her high school sweetheart, Michael Broady, in 2011, and opened up to People magazine in 2013 about her struggle with alcoholism. In 2018, the former reality star alleged that she was drugged and sexually assaulted by an unidentified female masseuse during her time on “The Bachelorette.” Meredith, seen here back in 2007, has stayed out of the spotlight since then.
After her engagement to “The Bachelor” season 3 star Andrew Firestone ended, Jen Schefft was asked to star on season 3 of “The Bachelorette,” which aired in 2005. But she rejected the proposal of final contestant Jerry Ferris on that show’s first-ever live final rose ceremony.
After failing to find love on television, Jen Schefft retreated to a more private life. She married Joe Waterman in 2009 and went on to have two children, daughters Mae and Charlotte. She also wrote a book in 2007, “Better Single Than Sorry.” Jen hosts the podcast “From the Bachelor to the Burbs.” The former reality star now resides in Northeast Ohio. “I grew up outside of Cleveland and my husband is from Cincinnati, so we decided to move home to be closer to family,” she told Us Weekly.
After being rejected by “The Bachelor” star Brad Womack, DeAnna Pappas took her turn as “The Bachelorette” on the show’s fourth season in 2008. The real estate agent gave her final rose to Jesse Csincsak.
DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak didn’t last long after filming wrapped… about four months after the season finale aired, to be exact. But don’t worry, DeAnna ended up finding love within the Bachelor Nation family! Michael Stagliano from Jillian Harris’s season of “The Bachelorette” introduced DeAnna to his twin brother, Stephen Stagliano, and the rest is history! The couple married in October 2011 and went on to have two kids, daughter Addison and son Austin. In addition to running her own blog, DeAnna also co-hosts the podcast “Moms in Cars” with pal Christine Lakin.
Jillian Harris took on the starring role on “The Bachelorette” in May 2009. The Canadian interior designer got engaged to technology consultant Ed Swiderski on the finale of her season.
Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski went their separate ways a year later, breaking up in July 2010. Professionally, she found success hosting the addictive HGTV show “Love It or List It Too.” She’s doing great in the romance department as well: She found love with pro snowboarder Justin Pasutto; they got engaged in 2016. They share two children, Leo and Annie. “I LOVE love working on the website www.jillianharris.com, I love inspiring others, being in a position to give back to charity and also be in a career where i’m able to be super creative,” she told Us Weekly. “I also was able to stick in the television industry with my role on ‘Love It Or List It Too,’ which is also a dream. Yes, I’ve worked hard and loved hard to get to where I am today both professionally and personally, but I often look back and wonder…. what if? Two beautiful children, a handsome dog, a hunky fiancé and a dream job. Is life perfect? HECK no … but I have a ton to be grateful for and I owe a slice of that to the ‘Bachelor’ family and experience!”
Ali Fedotowsky became the sixth star of “The Bachelorette” after she picked her job over love and left during Jake Pavelka’s season of “The Bachelor.” She found love with Roberto Martinez on her season, which aired in 2010.
Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez called it quits a year later in November 2011. Ali, who worked as a correspondent on E! News, married radio host Kevin Manno in 2017. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Molly, in 2016 and son Riley, in 2018. “I’d like to think that I would’ve met my husband regardless of the show, but the truth is if I had never gone on ‘The Bachelor and Bachelorette,’ I’m not sure I would have!” Ali told Us Weekly in 2018.
Ashley Hebert was a dental student who was selected to be “The Bachelorette” after she was rejected by “The Bachelor” star Brad Womack. On her season, which started airing in May 2011, she found love with J.P. Rosenbaum.
Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum went on to have a beautiful televised wedding followed by two cute kiddos. The dentist gave birth to son Fordham in 2014 and daughter Essex in 2016. However, in October 2020, the pair announced that they were going their separate ways after almost eight years of marriage. “We created the most beautiful children and shared memories that will never be forgotten. Our differences have taken a toll on our relationship and after years of attempting to repair the damage, we’ve decided that it is in our family’s best interest to create new and separate lives for our children,” Ashley said when they announced their split.
Emily Maynard beat out season 7 “The Bachelorette” star Ashley Hebert for Jake Womack’s heart on his season of “The Bachelor,” but once their engagement came to an end, she signed up to hand out the roses herself on the eighth season of “The Bachelorette” in 2012. Emily ultimately picked Jef Holm.
Single mom Emily Maynard and Jef Holm called it quits a few months after their season aired. She later found love off-screen and married longtime friend Tyler Johnson in June 2014. He became a stepfather to her daughter with late race car driver Ricky Hendrick, Ricki. Tyler and Emily have since welcomed three sons — Jennings, Gibson and Gatlin — and one daughter, Magnolia Belle, together. Emily authored the book “I Said Yes: My Story of Heartbreak, Redemption, and True Love,” which came out in 2016.
Desiree Hartsock starred on the ninth edition of “The Bachelorette” after she was rejected on Sean Lowe’s season of “The Bachelor.” The bridal stylist gave her final rose to Chris Siegfried on her season, which started airing in May 2013.
Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried’s love survived the world of reality TV stardom. The two released a book of poetry together, “Diamonds and Hearts — A Poetic Memoir,” in 2013, and made it to the altar in January 2015. The couple, who live in Seattle, welcomed sons Asher in 2016 and Zander in 2019. In June 2021, Desiree will release the book “The Road to Roses.”
Andi Dorfman took on the title of “The Bachelorette” in May 2014, temporarily leaving her job as an assistant district attorney in Atlanta. The fan favorite was coming off a dramatic exit from Juan Pablo Galavis’ season of “The Bachelor.” She gave her own final rose to Josh Murray.
Andi Dorfman resigned from her job as an assistant district attorney in Atlanta, split with fiancé Josh Murray in January 2015 and moved to New York City. In May 2016, she released the book “It’s Not Okay” — its title a clear jab at “The Bachelor” star Juan Pablo Galavis, who made the line “It’s okay” one of his trademarks during his season of the hit ABC show. She released her second book, “Single State of Mind,” in 2018 and is working on a third. She moved to Los Angeles in 2020.
Kaitlyn Bristowe took her turn as the star of “The Bachelorette” in 2015 after a controversial start: She and another fan favorite, Britt Nilsson — both of whom were rejected on Chris Soules’ season of “The Bachelor” — went head-to-head to see who would emerge the victor and lead season 11 of the show. Kaitlyn won the popularity contest and ultimately chose Shawn Booth.
Kaitlyn Bristowe And Shawn Booth moved to Nashville after getting engaged at the end of her season of “The Bachelorette.” The pair called it quits in November 2018. But soon, Kaitlyn — who hosts the podcast “Off the Vine” — found love once again! She began dating Bachelor Nation alum Jason Tartick in January 2019 and they got engaged in May 2021. In June 2020, Kaitlyn competed on the 29th season of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” and in June 2021, she served alongside Tayshia Adams as the co-host of season 17 of “The Bachelorette” after Chris Harrison took a step back.
JoJo Fletcher took the reigns on the 12th season of “The Bachelorette” in 2016 after losing out on Ben Higgins’ love during his season of “The Bachelor.” The Texas beauty selected Jordan Rodgers, the estranged brother of football superstar Aaron Rodgers, as her final pick after dating multiple suitors.
JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers are still together today! The happy couple share most of their day-to-day lives together on social media. The pair, who live in Dallas, repeatedly postponed their wedding in 2020 and 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. In 2018, JoJo launched her own clothing line, FLETCH.
We loved attorney Rachel Lindsay, the star of season 12 of “The Bachelorette” — a season that felt refreshingly real (that Peter breakup, anyone?). The world watched Rachel — the franchise’s first Black lead — ultimately find love with chiropractor Bryan Abasolo as the show aired in 2017.
The streak of success is alive! Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo are still going strong after tying the knot in Cancún, Mexico, in August 2019. Rachel, who’s a trained lawyer, also co-hosts the podcast “Higher Learning,” which focuses on topics in Black culture, and works as a correspondent for “Extra.” In 2019, she began co-hosting MTV’s “Ghosted: Love Gone Missing.” Rachel has remained an outspoken critic of Bachelor Nation’s historic and ongoing diversity issues and in 2021 made headlines for holding host Chris Harrison accountable for his controversial comments supporting season 25 “The Bachelor” contestant Rachael Kirkconnell’s earlier racist behavior.
Becca Kufrin starred on season 14 of “The Bachelorette” in 2018. She initially won season 22 of “The Bachelor,” but star Arie Luyendyk Jr. ended up leaving her for runner-up Lauren Burnham, whom he later married. On her season of “The Bachelorette,” Becca gave her final rose to Garrett Yrigoyen.
After accepting Garrett Yrigoyen’s proposal in 2018, Becca Kufrin and her fiancé moved to San Diego in 2019. The pair, however, called it quits in late 2020 after two years together. “I am single. Now that I can say that, it’s easier to talk about where I’m at,” Becca disclosed on an episode of the “Bachelor Happy Hour” podcast, which she co-hosts with Rachel Lindsay. “I’m 30. I’m ready to maybe be OK with not having to throw all my eggs in one basket per se… Just kind of enjoy the experience that life and dating have to offer.” She currently resides in Los Angeles.
After being rejected by Colton Underwood, Hannah Brown went on to become the star of “The Bachelorette” during the show’s 15th season in 2019. As for who she picked at the end of her run? Jed Wyatt.
In July 2019, Hannah Brown ended her engagement to “The Bachelorette” winner Jed Wyatt upon learning that he’d had a girlfriend back home. (He’d claimed, “To me I ended it in my heart and not verbally.”) She briefly romanced runner-up Tyler Cameron that same year and in 2020 went public with a new relationship with model Adam Woolard, whom she met on a dating app in Los Angeles. The former Miss Alabama competed on season 28 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” winning the Mirrorball Trophy with pro partner Alan Bersten.
Clare Crawley is no stranger to Bachelor Nation! The runner-up from season 18 of “The Bachelor” came back to the franchise to be the leading lady on season 16 of “The Bachelorette” in 2020. She quit the show after just 12 days of filming because she was already smitten with contestant Dale Moss.
After ending her time on “The Bachelorette” earlier than anticipated, California hairdresser Clare Crawley — who was replaced with a new single lady, Tayshia Adams — continued to see Dale Moss, who proposed, until they called it quits in January 2021. However, just a month later, the pair sparked romance rumors once again when they were seen holding hands in Florida and have since made it clear they’re back on.
Tayshia Adams replaced Clare Crawley on season 16 of “The Bachelorette” in 2020. She gave her final rose to Zac Clark.
Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark are still going strong! She accepted his proposal in December 2020. They’ve said they plan to split their time between the East and West coasts. In June 2021, Tayshia began co-hosting season 17 of “The Bachelorette” with another former franchise star, Kaitlyn Bristowe, following veteran host Chris Harrison’s hiatus from the series in the wake of a scandal.
