Richard Osman and Ingrid Oliver have kicked off married life in style as they jet off on honeymoon.

The author and former Pointless host, 52, tied the knot with Doctor Who star Ingrid, 45, over the weekend in a ‘magical’ ceremony with family and friends.

Having first met on Richard’s TV show House of Games, the newly-married couple first enjoyed a firm friendship before romance reportedly blossomed in lockdown.

The happy couple shared the news with followers on social media this week with Richard posting a photo of he and his new wife walking down the aisle together, holding hands and with matching wide grins.

Now the newlyweds have left the country for their first trip as a married couple, having been spotted at Heathrow airport on Wednesday.

It’s not clear where they were heading, but both were bundled up against the cold as England experiences a drop in temperature – so hopefully somewhere a bit warmer than here.

Ingrid looked fantastic in a black coat and furry hat, red polo neck and socks and black trainers as she strolled through the airport looking relaxed and happy with her new husband.

Richard meanwhile wore a burnt-orange bomber jacket and navy jumper, and was seen checking his phone as they hit towards their gate.

The pair were also seen wearing their brand-new gold wedding bands after the joyous ceremony on Saturday.

Game show host Richard, announcing their marriage, wrote on social media this week: ‘The most magical, joyful day on Saturday with my beautiful wife @ingridoliver100.

‘Surrounded by wonderful friends and family, a day full of love and laughter. We’re so, so happy.’

Ingrid also shared the photo to her Instagram, captioning it simply with two heart emojis.

Despite all the excitement, the couple’s cat seemed unperturbed, with Richard sharing a sweet snap of the tabby sleeping to Twitter.
