Paul Hollywood's GBBO co-stars 'predicted his romance with Summer wouldn't last'

Paul Hollywood’s Great British Bake Off co-stars reportedly ‘already knew’ his relationship with ex-girlfriend Summer Monteys-Fulham wouldn’t last.

The celebrity baker, 53, recently split from Summer, 24, after two years together, and now it’s been reported by The Sun that his co-stars and Bake Off producers had previously predicted their break up.

It’s claimed one allegedly was thinking about creating a ‘sweepstake’ placing bets on how long Paul’s relationship with Summer would last.

‘Everyone could see this coming a mile off – except Paul,’ the insider claimed. ‘It’s embarrassing for him. His colleagues have said for a while that his relationship with Summer was doomed.’

Metro.co.uk has reached out to Channel 4 and a rep for Paul.

News surfaced days ago that Summer had ended their relationship, after Paul presented her with a ‘gagging order’, preventing her from talking about their sex lives, his wealth or their private lives.

Sources claimed Summer was ‘horrified’ at Paul’s ‘controlling’ behaviour and ended things ‘for good’ – just days after the TV star finalised his divorce.

Paul was previously married to ex-wife Alexandra for 21 years.

The star’s solicitor Tom Amlot released a statement confirming the split, saying: ‘I asked Summer to sign an NDA as is standard practise in order to protect Paul’s family and their private lives. Summer insisted that she had no intention of selling any stories to the press and declined.

‘I think that her refusal to discuss or sign it caused concern, understandably, so it’s not entirely surprising that they have gone their separate ways.’

Reports then claimed Paul has asked his ex-wife Alexandra to ‘sign a non-disclosure agreement’ too.

The pair are currently said to be battling it out over his estimated £10million fortune, with negotiations stumbling over his latest request.

Paul and Alexandra married back in 1998 and share son Josh. They briefly split back in 2013, when Paul admitted to having an affair with Marcella Valladolid – his co-host of the short-lived US Bake Off.

The former couple reunited, though, and Paul described the affair as the ‘biggest mistake of his life.’

Shortly after he and Alexandra eventually split in 2017, Paul began dating Summer.
