Luxury Shoe Brand Malone Souliers Advocates for “A Sense of Self” With Its FW22 Collection Campaign


With personal style consistently making its way to the forefront of the fashion space, brands have been keen not to push too much of a curated narrative onto consumers. Rising shoe brand Malone Souliers has taken note for Fall/Winter 2022 and is advocating for buyers to have “A Sense of Self” within the luxury market, in its new collection campaign.

Offering detailed and handcrafted footwear for men and women, the MS brand was founded as a zero-waste concept by Mary Alice Malone, and used as a vehicle to elevate footwear styles while providing perfect fit and form. The brand’s FW22 collection introduces several new styles including a white leather sneaker with contrasting black leather detail and a black rubber outsole, a black leather ankle boot, a double monk strap loafer and a sleek black leather classic-style loafer.

Two standout pairs include the “Dali” (an ecru-colored suede chukka boot), and the “Andre” (a brown leather cross-weaved sandal). Each new addition to the brand’s lineup was handmade in Italy with traditional generational shoemaking techniques and allows the wearer the opportunity to subtly incorporate the design into a modern wardrobe – without encroaching upon self-expression. And recently collaborating with Netflix on the wildly popular Bridgerton series, the brand designed a “Rene” slip-on shoe in navy blue jacquard material, buffering the show’s ornate period piece wardrobe.

Describing the brand aesthetic, Malone (the company’s Founder and Creative Director), says: “Style can sometimes seem like a passive thing – you choose the items you like and allow them to represent you – but it’s very much an active process. It’s the practice of defining and redefining the self in a way that feels empowering.”

“Through personal style, we can communicate with others, but above all, it is something we do for ourselves. That’s who this collection is for: the person who takes joy in dressing for themselves, and who draws energy from the feeling this gives them,” Malone added.

The new Malone Souliers collection is available now in London at the brand’s 19 Mount Street flagship boutique and on the company’s website.
