Kkplus Celebrates Bobby Hill With its 'King of the Hill' Pop-Up

08/15/2022

Despite ending on September 13, 2009, with 259 episodes and 13 seasons, King of the Hill has remained popular thanks to its unique place in the world of animated sitcoms. Outrageous yet relatable, Mike Judge and Greg Daniels’ creation for Fox captivated audiences with its understated sense of humor and sly subversiveness. In recent years, the show has reached a new height of popularity in Asia, thanks to beloved character, Bobby Hill.

Building on its multi-branded art-oriented exhibition space at Hong Kong’s Langham Place, toy purveyor Kkplus recently opened a King of the Hill pop-up. The special space celebrates Bobby Hill with life-size displays and releases inspired by popular memes centered around the character.

Aside from the corridor found in Bobby’s school, Tom Landry Middle School, a faithful recreation of the character’s room complete with 1:1 size meditating Bobby is found at the pop-up. Accompanying special releases include a T-shirt and shorts inspired by Bobby’s signature outfit, vinyl figures, plush toys, stationery and more.

Take a look inside Kkplus’s King of the Hill Hill pop-up at Langham Place until September 10 above.
