There’s nothing we love more than a good love story, so of course, whenever a celebrity couple takes the next step in their relationship and makes it known they want to spend forever together, we get all kinds of excited. To prove this, we’ve been all over these celebrity couples who have gotten engaged in 2019, eagerly following the news of their engagements and the early days of their wedding planning.

The first proposal of the year occurred on Jan. 4, when Hamilton star Anthony Ramos proposed to girlfriend — and costar — Jasmine Cephas Jones in Paris. Less than one week later, former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow got down on one knee to ask for girlfriend Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters’ hand in marriage, and on Jan. 13, Chris Pratt revealed he and Katherine Schwarzenegger were engaged. “So happy you said yes!” Pratt wrote on Instagram. Since then, our favorite couples, including Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez, have gotten engaged and confirmed the good news to the world, often on social media.

The year is still young, and more proposals are bound to happen, but in the meantime, check out which celebs are getting ready to spend the rest of their lives together.

Sarah Hyland & Wells Adams

After nearly two years of dating, Modern Family star Sarah Hyland and Bachelor in Paradise star Wells Adams are engaged! Their proposal took place on a picturesque beach, where Adams dropped to one knee before a clearly stunned Hyland. Since then, the couple has been celebrating their engagement on Instagram, sharing how excited they are to spend forever together. “That can’t eat, can’t sleep, reach for the stars, over the fence, world series kind of stuff,” Hyland writes on Instagram. We’re so happy that this couple found each other!

Scarlett Johansson & Colin Jost

After two years of dating, Saturday Night Live funnyman Colin Jost popped the question to his superstar girlfriend, Scarlett Johansson. According to TMZ, the couple enjoyed a private dinner upstate New York on May 16, where Jost reportedly asked her to marry him. The couple’s respective reps confirmed the happy news to the Associated Press on May 19.

Hilary Duff & Matthew Koma

New parents Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma are heading down the alter! Duff confirmed the engagement on her Instagram, sharing a series of selfies of the couple and the rock sprakling on her ring finger. “He asked me to be his wife,” the Younger actress captioned the sweet candid shots. Koma shared the same photos on his own feed, writing: “I asked my best friend to marry me… @hilaryduff.”

Koma and Duff, who have been dating since 2017, welcomed baby girl Banks Violet Bair in October of 2018. 

Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez

After two years of dating, these two Bronx bombers have decided to tie the knot. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez announced their engagement with a slew of incredibly romantic photos of A.Rod on bended knee. On her part, the “Jenny From the Block” singer looked stunned by the proposal — or by the sheer size of the bling. 

The power couple, who both have children from previous marriages, have been able to blend their families seamlessly. Following the announcement, Rodriguez shared a touching poem on his Instagram Stories: “A soulmate isn’t someone who completes you. No, a soulmate is someone who inspires you to complete yourself.”

Brittany Snow & Tyler Stanaland

Pitch Perfect actor Brittany Snow announced on Instagram on Feb. 19 after a few weeks of secrecy that she was engaged to her boyfriend, Tyler Stanaland. Snow posted a photo of the couple looking very loved up, writing, “A couple weeks ago, I said “YES” about a million times to the man of my wildest & most beautiful dreams.
