We asked the members of the BuzzFeed Community to tell us which scenes from Harry Potter make them cringe. Here are some of the most awkward replies:

1.When Hermione and Harry make out in Ron’s Horcrux fever dream in Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

When there’s the little cloud thing of Harry and Hermione making out and taunting Ron. That scene makes me so uncomfortable. I was always team Ron and Hermione.

2.When Harry and Cho Chang have that intense and awkward kiss in The Order of the Phoenix.

It felt like it was a bit too much for two 15-year-olds having their first kiss, especially since Cho was just talking about how she loved Cedric and how much she missed him right before they kissed.

3.When Harry pulls his wand from the troll’s nose in Chamber of Secrets.

It always makes me gag and wanna throw up, especially when he wipes the snot on his robe.

4.When Ginny ties Harry’s shoelace in The Half-Blood Prince.

Book Ginny is a legit feminist icon for young girls, how the fuck is she reduced to bending down and tying a grown-ass man’s shoelaces for him in the movies?!

5.When Hermione yells at Harry and Ron after the Yule Ball in Goblet of Fire.

That was a lot.

—kellihollemans

6.When Harry and Hermione dance in the tent after Ron stormed out in Deathly Hallows.

It was awkward and seemed forced. Watching it made me cringe.

7.When Ginny feeds Harry in The Half-Blood Prince.

*Dumbledore throws open door* “ HARRY! DID YOU *grabs Harry and shoves him into a desk* PUT YOUR NAME IN THE GOBLET IF FIRE?!”

Dumbledore basically physically attacks and yells at a confused 15/16-year-old child with a significant history of trauma. It’s not only cringe-worthy, but extremely out of character for Dumbledore. Maybe that’s why in the books, J.K. Rowling wrote “he said calmly.”

9.When Hermione comments on her appearence in Prisoner of Azkaban.

In POA when Hermione steps forward and says, “Is that really what my hair looks like from the back?” It’s incredibly out of character and such a shallow thing to be worried about during such a high-stakes scene. I get mad every time I watch it.

10.When the Beauxbatons make their entrance in The Goblet of Fire.

When Beauxbatons students come in and they’re all female and do some strange fluttery dance, and then do that weird sighing thing with the butterflies. In the books each school was co-ed and their entrances weren’t so over the top, so it wasn’t nearly as weird or cringey.

11.When Voldemort hugs Draco in Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

I have to look away every time. Absolutely awful.

12.When Harry jumps off the ledge with Voldemort in The Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

Look, I get that it was is meant to be awkward, and they did too good of a job at it.

14.When Ron ices out Harry in The Goblet of Fire.

The moaning Myrtle scene in GOF is so awk. It’s supposed to be a kids movie and it just felt like they were going to have sex any minute.

16.When that one kid spoke up in Divination class in Prisoner of Azkaban.

The whole scene with Rita Skeeter in the broom closet with Harry. It was just awkward. Especially when she said, “This is cozy,” when they first get in.

18.When Voldemort touches Harry in The Goblet of Fire.

When Voldemort touches Harry’s forehead and says, “I CAN TOUCH YOU NOW!” and then screams with pleasure when Harry screams in pain. OK, I know it was in the book (great scene) but c’mon, was quite cringe in the film.

19.When Harry zips Ginny into her dress in Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

Before the wedding, when Harry helps Ginny to zip up her dress. They exchange a quick kiss and then there’s George sneaking around awkwardly in the background.

—mupke

20.When Hermione punches Draco in Prisoner of Azkaban.

The scene after Hermione punches Draco in Prisoner of Azkaban. “That felt good.” Like ugh, could that have been a more cheesy scene? Makes my eyes roll out of my head on to the floor when ever I watch it.

21.When Harry walks into the magical tents during the Quidditch World Cup in The Goblet of Fire.

When Harry walks into the tent and goes “I love magic.” No fucking shit, mate.

22.When Harry walks around with the egg from the challenge he won in The Goblet of Fire.

Is no one going to mention Lavender huffing on the glass for, like, 10 years to make it foggy so she could draw a heart out of it all the while Ron and Harry were just staring at her all confused?

—ramseysomesingj

24.When Harry has his outburst after he heard about Sirius in Prisoner of Azkaban.

After Harry overhears the truth about Sirius’s relationship with his parents and Hermione and Ron find him out in the snow on that log, having a little cry. The way he shouts, “HE WAS THEIR FRIEND!” makes me cringe a liiiiiiittle bit every time.
