TOWIEs Joey Turner looks happy and healthy as he heads for London stroll with pal

The Only Way Is Essex star Joey Turner cut a relaxed and casual figure as he was spotted enjoying a stroll with a friend in central London.

The 21 year old TOWIE star appeared to be happy and healthy as he walked alongside his friend, while sporting a pair of relaxed fit stonewash jeans and a hooded sweatshirt emblazoned with the slogan “helmut lang says stay in school,” in a clear nod to his love of all things fashion.

Spotted in London’s West End shopping district, Joey could be seen carrying a large green tote bag, while his hair was noticeably longer and styled in a swept back style – a far cry from the buzz cut look he sported back in January.

The latest sighting also put to rest earlier concerns raised by fans about Joey’s health, after he appeared to be noticeably slimmed down following his departure from TOWIE last year.

The former reality star shot to fame on the ITV reality show back in 2019, when he was just 17 years old.

While on the show, he quickly forged fast friendships with stars such as Ella Rae Wise and Chloe Brockett, and even memorably came out to Olivia Attwood over dinner in an emotional scene that has remained firmly in the minds of many fans.

Joey made the decision to leave TOWIE in 2021 in order to study fashion at university.

Many fans worried about Joey's health after he left the show and debuted a noticeably slimmer look.

He also shared a number of controversial posts on social media, including an infamous Kate Moss quote which read: "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."

The posts understandably sparked a great deal of concern among fans, with many concerned for his wellbeing, but they also sparked a slew of abuse too, with many trolls attacking Joey for his appearance.

Reflecting on that part of his life, Joey told The Sun that constant questioning about his health had gotten under his skin and even left him feeling “insane”.

He said: ”I left TOWIE to go to uni and do my own thing. But I was being constantly hounded like an animal. Just because I'm in the public doesn't mean I'm not human, it's like people forget that.

"When I look back at those photos I posted I can see how sad I look. I was experiencing and enduring my emotions and through my look I portrayed that. I didn't have time to eat. I was so busy at such a young age."
