This Morning fans stunned over unrecognisable Hanson as band make TV comeback

This Morning fans were left pleasantly surprised to catch ‘90s pop rock band Hanson looking incredibly different as they made their TV comeback on Tuesday.

The sibling musicians looked practically unrecognisable from their long-haired, boyish appearance in the '90s, as they each sported shorter haircuts and stubbly facial hair while sat on the couch on the daytime show.

Hosts Phillip Scofield and Holly Willoughby couldn’t contain their excitement as they chatted with brothers Isaac, 41, Taylor, 39, and Zac Hanson, 36, about their return to music and what they’d been up to in the 25 years since their hit song MMMBop.

Fans were just as enthusiastic at seeing the band Hanson after so long and took to Twitter to give their reactions.

“This has made me so happy today! Taking me back to my teens! Love seeing that @hansonmusic are back and clearly better than ever!!” one person wrote.

A second commented: "I must say it was very interesting to see how much UV all grown and changed! I was a teen when u were first singing in the charts! Really enjoyed Ur singing today Nd will def have a listen to Ur album. Well done guys.”

The singing brothers — who are all married now with several children between them — performed MMMBop after their interview, to the delight of viewers watching at home.

“I have just seen Mmmbop on this morning and I swear I am going to CRY because childhood,” one excited fan said.

“#Hanson #ThisMorning smiled far too much throughout that @hansonmusic performance,” another commented.

A third added: “Hanson are playing Mmmbop on This Morning and I’m not ashamed to say it’s still an absolute tune!!!”

While many viewers were more than pleased with Hanson’s updated rendition of their 1997 breakthrough pop song, one watcher wasn’t as sold with it, as they tweeted: “Mmmbop doesn't really sound right when grown up men are singing it.”

Another viewer became a converted fan after the band’s performance though, as they wrote: “I was a teenager when Hanson were first singing. I must be honest I want really a big fan bk then.

“But I just heard them on your show and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed listening to them Nd will definitely listen to their new album.”

Hanson released their new album Red Green Blue on 20 May and their tour for the project begins this week in Europe with shows being held in the UK from 26 June to 30 July.
