Model and TV star Tess Daly, 51, has openly admitted her “crush” for Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson while appearing on husband Vernon Kay’s new game show Game of Talents this evening. The Strictly Come Dancing presenter made no attempt to hide her “crush” on the former American football player, but went on to reassure her husband of 18 years that he has “nothing to worry about.”

I have got a bit of a crush, nothing to worry about Vern

In an attempt to identify celebrities’ faces from a combination of two, Tess accidentally revealed that she holds a flame for a Hollywood A-Lister.

Looking at the images on screen, Tess made no attempt to hide her “crush.”

She said: “So the first face, that’s ‘The Rock’. The top of the face is ‘The Rock’, Dwayne.

“Dwayne,” laughed her husband Vernon.

“Just for reference, Tess loves Dwayne, ‘The Rock,'” he continued, leading her wife to burst out laughing.

Addressing her husband’s claims, Tess agreed: “I have got a bit of a crush, nothing to worry about Vern.”

Her game show host husband jokingly pointed out the similarities he has with the retired wrestler: “We’re practically the same I’ll be honest with you.

“It’s like looking in the mirror.”

ITV’s new weekend game show is replacing Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

But viewers were left unimpressed this evening at the show’s debut.

Taking to social media, one had trouble understanding how the game worked.

They wrote: “I keep wondering how #GameOfTalents is produced.

“#GameOfTalents #terrible Anyone got any wet paint that needs watching?” Another commented.

A fourth wrote: “Desperate, lamentable television. We’ve reached the very bottom of the barrell. ITV and BBC where do we go from here? #icanseeyourvoice #GameOfTalents.” (sic)

However, one penned: “Loving this show already #GameOfTalents.”

Vernon has previously explained the premise of the show as “a talent show and a game show meet in a bar… they get married and have a baby, well, Game of Talent is that game.”

Up against her BBC co-star Craig Revel Horwood on the show, Tess said previously: “It was great getting to join Vernon on the first Game of Talents.

“I had such a fun time playing along in the studio, the talents are brilliant and I can’t wait for everyone to play along at home too.”

The All Star Family Fortunes host is set to be joined by the likes of Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse, Joel Dommett, Katherine Ryan, Nick Grimshaw, Clara Amfo and TV presenters Stephen Mulhern and Emma Willis.
