Well, it’s official! My slicked back hair for our Tango last week led to a few mums sliding into my DMs, which was unexpected. They said I looked very handsome.
One mum sent me a screenshot of me in my suit and she said, “This week I might actually fancy you a tiny bit.” I feel like a real man now!
Let’s not leave my lovely nan out though. She told me that all her friends said how great I looked in my suit.

I was able to zoom my nan this week, it was so nice to see her face. She’s so happy that I’m doing Strictly and told me that if I make it to the final dance that it will fall on her and my grandad’s 60th wedding anniversary.
That’s their diamond anniversary! Knowing that really is spurring me on to make it to the final now.
I’ve had another stressful week so far, as always. But, we’re doing a couples choice this week so it’s a little bit more my style.

Janette and I are doing a contemporary/street dance. We’re dancing to A Sky Full Of Stars by Coldplay, which starts really pretty and then goes into a drop which is perfect for our routine.
I’m struggling with how fast the choreography is. But, I’m enjoying this week a lot more than learning the Tango last week. It just killed me.
I couldn’t believe we got such high scores for our Tango. But, I’m glad we did it because it shows we have that variety and that I can actually pull off ballroom dancing.
The thing is with Strictly, the challenge isn’t just the dancing, it’s turning yourself into a different character every week. I’ve found it really scary.
Janette really had to help me through last week. I was so in my own head about everything. I was so nervous and I wasn’t enjoying it at all.
Being in such a negative headspace just made me want to give up. But Janette was like a counsellor and gave me so much confidence.
I FaceTime my mum every day, you know. I also have an older and younger brother and they both check up on me often. We’re such a close family.
My brothers actually get more nervous than I do about my Strictly performances. My mum told me that on Saturdays, everyone wakes up early and paces around all day until the show.
It was so sad to see Johannes and Caroline go home. She was so lovely and we got on really well. Every final is going to be shocking because everyone’s doing so well now.
I can’t believe that Maisie was in the bottom again, in my opinion she’s the best dancer of the competition and doesn’t deserve it.
Maisie is confident, but she’s very vulnerable also. She’s nervous all the time and has a lovely heart.
We all cheered her up though! I know she’s spoken to OK! Magazine this week about how we have flanter, I feel like we flirt with each other through the press! Potentially a date after the show could be on the cards.
How great were Ranvir and Giovanni this week?! It was hot! They got a ten which was amazing.
I’m really looking forward to wearing more of a chilled outfit this weekend. It’s going to be something I’d actually wear compared to a sparkly suit!
I thought that Jamie’s street dance outfit was really cool! I want to channel some of his swag in my performance coming up.
It would just be the best thing ever if I get through again this week. For people to see how hard you work and vote you in is incredible. It’s such a nice feeling to know that people who don’t even know you are backing you.
