Stacey Solomon shares cutest photo of baby Rex snuggling with Joe Swash07/19/2019
Rex Swash has got to be a strong contender for the cutest celebrity baby of 2019, and Stacey Solomon’s latest photo of him snuggling with dad, Joe Swash, has seriously got us in our feelings.
Stacey shared a photo of Joe and Rex snoozing this morning after he had returned from a work trip (Joe, obvs… Rex is probably a little young for that kind of thing) and the pair of them couldn’t look more content if they tried.
She posted: ‘Daddy’s home, Good morning! THAT FACE THOUGH Catching flies and cuddling daddy! *puts phone down to wriggle over there and get involved in that cuddle*’
Stacey and Joe have been keeping fans up to date on life with their new little bundle of joy, including the more difficult days most celebs never admit to (but that every new parent has because everyone is human).
She told her followers she had had a difficult day on Thursday, explaining: ‘I feel like I shouldn’t really have these feelings because I’m nearly 8 weeks in and I am so incredibly lucky to have amazing children, a wonderful partner, loves loving, caring, & supportive family and I’m almost a bit embarrassed to say… That truth be told, I’m having a bit of a gut wrenching day.
‘One of those days that physically hurts your tummy. I have absolutely no idea why. Mum guilt has kicked in full swing. Nothing in particular triggers the feeling. It’s just there.’
She added: ‘Tried to keep busy and organise the hell out of the house which has helped for short moments (but also felt guilty about it). So making a conscious effort to try to accept it and let the feelings come and go.
‘I found this picture from a few days ago when I caught a rare snap of us both smiling at the same time (and when I’d miraculously found the energy to have fun with my make up drawer).
‘I’ve been looking at it all day to remind myself that these feelings WILL pass and every day will be different. Thinking of anyone else having a struggle today or any day for that matter.’
Fans have praised Stacey for her honesty, which is a welcome break from the usual rose-tinted views of motherhood most celebs try to portray.
Truth is – being a parent is bloody hard and nobody bounces back to their pre-pregnancy size within weeks without spending every moment in the gym and that’s all totally normal, just as Stacey shows.
