Princess Beatrices stepsons mum glad hes not at school in dangerous USA

Princess Beatrice's stepson Wolfie's mum has opened up on the comfort she feels knowing her child will be educated in the UK rather than America, where she fears he could have become a victim of a school shooting.

Before marrying King Charles' niece, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 39, was engaged to architect Dara Huang and the pair welcomed son Christopher Woolf, known as Wolfie, together in 2016 before going their separate ways in 2018.

Dara, from Florida, US, and son Wolfie live in Kensington together, not far from the royals' family home at St James Palace in Westminster.

Now, the doting mum has spoken out on her relief that her six year old will be educated in a safer environment compared to America, which has seen 641 mass shootings this year so far, according to Gun Violence Archive.

"I'm glad my son doesn't go to school in the USA," she shared on social media. "I can sleep at night knowing he won't die at his desk tomorrow morning."

Dara made the comments after returning back to the US for Christmas while her son remained at the King's Norfolk retreat with Beatrice and Edoardo.

"Not to get all political here, but I went to a sports store in the US to buy tennis shoes today and couldn't help but notice this huge gun section – post Xmas sale," Dara wrote.

She continued: "So I walked up to the man and said, 'What do I need to buy a gun home? Do I need a licence?' And he said, 'No, you can buy one right now and either take it in two days or take a $50 two-hour 'conceal and carry course' and bring it home right now'.

"And I said, 'OK, so no licence needed, medical records, history of felony?' And he said, 'Nope. You can keep it in your car or home, as you see fit.'"

"Literally anybody can buy the most dangerous weapon known to man," she added.

It comes after Dara's son Wolfie recently joined the Royals in Sandringham for the festive season.

In live footage of The Firm following King Charles into Church, Beatrice – who looked stunning in an emerald green belted coat paired with a matching hat – walked alongside her husband of two years Edoardo, and his son.

This marks the second time Wolfie has attended a royal event alongside his father and step-mother after having been spotted at the late Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations last summer.

Beatrice appears to have a close bond with Wolfie, whom she’s previously labelled as “the best big brother” to her daughter Sienna.

Prince Andrew’s daughter and Edoardo welcomed their first child together last year.

Announcing the news of Sienna’s arrival, the royal pair tweeted at the time: “We are delighted to share that we have named our daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi."
