Prince Harry has landed back in the US after he spent the last week with his family in England for the unveiling of his late mother’s statue to mark what would have been her 60th birthday.

The Duke of Sussex, 36, was spotted leaving Los Angeles airport on Saturday just two days after Princess Diana’s statue was revealed in Kensington Palace gardens on Thursday.

The new dad was spotted hurling his luggage into the back of a white SUV as he made his way back to reunite with his doting wife Meghan Markle, 39, and their two children Archie, two, and newborn Lilibet.

The prince embarked on his 24 hour long journey on Friday in order to return home to his family swiftly as eagle-eyed fans spotted the royal leaving Windsor in a black 4×4.

This comes after a royal source exclusively told OK! that the Duke had made a swift exit after the official event to attend a ‘lad’s lunch’ with his Army pals.

It was previously not known if he was heading back to Frogmore Cottage to meet the Queen, or catching a flight back to LA to be with Meghan and the kids.

But a royal source has since revealed how the Prince enjoyed a lunch organised in advance by former school friends and Army mates.

The royal source revealed: “Prince Harry’s time in the Army remains incredibly important to him.

“It was the happiest time of his life before Meghan and the children, because he could be himself and was seen by his colleagues as one of them, not a prince.

“This is something he’s talked about openly recently. It’s no surprise that he wanted to reconnect with his old friends while he was in the UK.

“He was crushed by the decision to remove his military titles.”

The Duke of Sussex cut his time at the palace short as he left just 90 minutes after the statue was unveiled and swiftly returned to his home base the following day.

The event marked the first time Prince William, 39, and Prince Harry had reunited since their grandfather’s funeral in April.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the brothers will be coming together for a secret meeting in an attempt to set aside their differences after their reunion last week.
