Celia Walden, 45, has expressed her opinion on her friends who did not want to get the COVID-19 vaccine. The journalist was just as outspoken on the matter, as her husband, Piers Morgan, 56.

Vaccine hesitancy I can work around, but intrinsic, eye-watering selfishness?

In her column, Celia spoke about her friend who told her a few months ago that she did not want to get vaccinated, visibly upsetting Celia.

Her friend’s response was that she did not believe she needed to get vaccinated if everyone around her had been.

According to Celia, this earned her friend the “erstwhile prefix.”

Angered, Celia wrote: “Vaccine hesitancy I can work around, but intrinsic, eye-watering selfishness? That’s terminal.”

Adding in her Telegraph column, she said: “Nobody either needs it in a friend or wants it in a colleague.”

“Because as anyone who has ever worked in a professional setting will tell you, all it takes is that one Non-Team Player to upset the balance.”

Celia told the story about her friend before she discussed the Covid-19 Strictly Come Dancing fiasco.

She believes with two stars contracting COVID-19 that the “BBC has brought it upon itself.”

Celia said: “Given you still can’t get on a Tube without being told to mask up, allowing a bunch of unjabbed dancers and celebs to mount one another on stage seems to be the height of lunacy.”

The journalist said that the situation would have been entirely different if the BBC had put their foot down, and insisted their professionals were jabbed.

Celia is a columnist, feature writer and novelist for the Telegraph.

She began a relationship with fellow journalist Piers Morgan in January 2006.

They married in a private ceremony in Swinbrook, Oxfordshire in 2021.

The journalistic pair share one child together named, Elise Pughe-Morgan who was born in 2011.

Piers has three other children from a previous marriage.

Celia’s husband Piers is also known to be outspoken on the matter of vaccines as well as other issues.

Many will remember how he walked off Good Morning Britain earlier this year.

The presenter will be on our screens again in early 2022.

It was announced on September 16 that he would be joining News Corp as a presenter on their new show talkTV.

He will also have a column with The Sun and the New York Times.
