Peter Andre condemns Love Island star Michael over ‘harsh’ treatment of Amber
07/16/2019Love Island's Amber has received an outpouring of support over her failed romance with Michael, and it seems she's won herself a few celeb fans.
Peter Andre, 46, has condemned the fireman, 27, for the way he's been treating the 21-year-old beautician.
Last night Michael shocked the Islanders when he demanded Amber to sit down so he could completely squash all her hopes that they'd get back together.
And it seems this didn't go down well with Pete, who branded Michael "harsh".
Writing in an impassioned Instagram post, he said: "I guess we only see a snapshot of convos on this show but this girl should not have been treated the way she was.
"Even if the guy didn't realise how harsh he was you gotta feel for Amber. She started out with a tough exterior but is now for me one of the nicest.
The post received more than 33,000 likes with fellow Love Island fans agreeing with the sentiment.
One commented: "Michael was so disrespectful.. 'sit down' he had no right in talking to her like that! He could have handled it so differently. Poor girl."

"She is too good for him, it's a pity she couldn't see that," another said.
In tonight's episode Michael will try to make amends for the way he treated Amber in Monday's instalment.
Or rather, he tries to excuse himself in a bizarre fashion.
Michael says: “When I came over and told you to sit down, it was because you had wearing heels all night and I didn’t want you to walk anywhere else. I am apologising if it came across in a bad way.”
Amber is rightfully not content with his weak half-hearted apology.
She replies: “I just think you really need to think about the way you speak to me, because it comes across really badly.”
