The Voice UK judge Olly Murs, 37, has apologised to award-winning actor Benedict Cumberbatch, 44, after the pair were seated next to each other at Wimbledon. The Dance With Me Tonight hitmaker revealed that he “chewed the ear off” the BAFTA winner after they sat courtside to watch the star-studded sports event.

In a series of light-hearted snaps, the superstar documented his day out in SW19 with his girlfriend Amelia Tank.

Dressed in a pair of light brown chinos and a matching jacket, Olly perfectly complimented his partner who was also wearing a darker hue of brown in the form of a sleeveless waistcoat and leather-look trousers.

Styling her long blonde locks into soft waves, Amelia finished her outfit with a mustard yellow handbag and matching stilettos.

Sharing a snap of himself court side, the singer sat in between his girlfriend and The Imitation Game star as they intently watched the game.

Donning a baby-blue suit, white shirt and matching trilby hat, the British actor held his mask in place and clutched an empty glass as the Troublemaker singer affectionately joked around with him.

Taking to Instagram, Olly gave his 35 million followers an insight into his day at Wimbledon – which included an apology to his new friend.

He wrote: “Gorgeous day out at the Tennis. Thanks @evianwater for the invite!”

The star went on to apologise for supposedly talking to the Sherlock actor too much, in case it distracted him from the match.

“We had a cracking time and I got to sit next to Benedict Cumberbatch! Sorry for chewing ya ear off,” he added, alongside a laughing emoji.

Over the next few pictures, the singer revealed that he bumped into comedian Jack Whitehall and singer Lewis Capaldi, who he looked happy to catch up with away from the courts.

The Voice judge also shared a snap of him and Amelia with Love Island power couple Laura Whitmore and Iain Sterling.

Days ago the singer revealed that he had been “lost for words” after his partner won the Pure Elite bikini contest, documenting the competition on Instagram.

The proud TV star was on hand to support his partner throughout the contest after witnessing her hard work over the past six months.

He informed his 3.5 million followers that Amelia won the pro bikini round to retain her title and also a second category.

“Amelia has won both of her categories and we are so happy, but it’s now time for the overall,” Olly explained in an upload to his Story.

“They pick the winner of the day out of the females. Amazingly she has never, ever won this one.

“Oh my God this is huge!” the nervous performer added, before Amelia was named the overall UK champion.

Sharing a picture of himself with his arms in the air alongside the bikini-clad winner and her trophy, the star captioned the snap: “And still… undefeated-champ.”

“6 months work, show postponed, lockdown to deal with and she went and bl**dy did it!

“Lost for words! Proud of ya darlin x now let’s eat a McDonalds on the way home to celebrate… my treat,”(sic) he ended the post.
