Olivia Munn, John Mulaney reportedly weighing splitting amid pregnancy10/28/2021
Wonderwall.com is taking a look back at the celebrities who found love, suffered heartbreak or experienced some other major event in their love lives in late October 2021, starting with this duo… On Oct. 23 — amid rampant speculation that John Mulaney and Olivia Munn, who are expecting a child together, quietly called it quits — Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, the duo, who’ve only been an item for a few months, are facing “uncertainty” in their relationship. “This has been an imperfect relationship from the start,” said the source. “Even though Olivia’s going to be a wonderful mother and has great support behind her, Olivia’s friends just don’t see these two being a couple in a year’s time. The insider went on to say that friends believe the actress and the comedian will “make great parents” but that “nobody knows yet if they’re going to do that together or apart.” Continued the source, “Olivia and John still have to decide what kind of future they’re going to have together, if any. It’s a time of uncertainty, for both of them. … [They] are a long way from deciding and locking in what their relationship is going to be going forward.” Added the source, “Becoming a mom was always more important to [Olivia] than settling down in a conventional way. She’s a real feminist and doesn’t need a man by her side 24/7. She never has. She’s incredibly picky and John was somebody she definitely wanted to get to know if there was ever a point where they were both single. John is much more of a work in progress than Olivia, but Olivia needed this change to her life. It’s been a rough last several years for her where she was stuck in a rut. This changes things up and gives her something to focus on beyond her career and social life.”

On Oct. 25, Us Weekly reported that, according to a source, Tori Spelling “wants a divorce” from husband Dean McDermott but “feels trapped” in the marriage. According to the insider, things between the long-term couple — who’ve fueled split speculation for nearly a year now — recently took a turn for the worse when Dean “went missing” for two days following an argument, which led to a huge “fight” when he finally returned home and told Tori, with whom he shares five children, that he plans to sue her for alimony and child support. Although they signed a prenup before they tied the knot in 2006, a divorce court could still order Tori to make child support payments to Dean — a realization that reportedly infuriated the “Beverly Hills, 90210” alum. “She went ballistic,” said the source, adding that Tori is “very upset.” The source went on to say that Tori and Dean — who’ve “tried counseling” — “constantly fight and break up,” though this particular dustup was “really serious.” The actress is reportedly “miserable” but has “sucked it up” for her kids, who “have no idea what’s going on.” The insider added that “money is an issue and it’s always been an issue” between Tori and Dean, which is part of the reason why she feels trapped in the marriage. Meanwhile, on the Oct. 26 episode of “The Wendy Williams Show,” Tori refused to answer a question about how things are going with Dean, telling guest host Whitney Cummings, “You know I’m not going to answer that.”

On Oct. 27, Ioan Gruffudd took to Instagram to reveal his new girlfriend: actress Bianca Wallace. “Thank you for making me smile again,” he captioned a photo with the brunette beauty, who shared the same shot on her own Instagram grid. It’s unclear how long they’ve been an item, but in the wake of the news, the Welsh actor’s estranged wife, Alice Evans, took to Twitter to accuse them of having an affair. “So it turns out that my husband, after two years of telling me I’m a bad person and I’m not exciting and he no longer want so to have sex with me and he just wants to be on set abroad… Has been in a relationship for THREE years behind all our backs,” she wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Bianca Wallace seems to be the person [Ioan] has been in a relationship with for three years whilst blaming our difficulties on me. I’ve just found this out tonight,” added the “102 Dalmatians” star. She then continued in a series of tweets, “For at LEAST 2 years I’ve been told ‘by him’ I’m just not interesting or lovable enough. … Why couldn’t he have just told me the truth..? Why did he have to gaslight me? … Why couldn’t he just have told me he had met someone. … They started seeing each other before he told me he didn’t love me and wanted a divorce.” It’s unclear if Alice — who made headlines earlier this year when she put the “Fantastic Four” actor on blast amid their breakup — has evidence Ioan was unfaithful or is simply making assumptions about the timeline of his new romance, which apparently came to her attention after fans started dissecting the actor’s love life in a Reddit forum. (Internet sleuths allege Ioan and Bianca got together after she served as an extra on the 2018 Australian series “Harrow,” on which he stars.)

E! News reported on Oct. 27 that, according to a source, although they’ve spent time together in the two weeks since she dumped him amid rumors he was unfaithful, Lala Kent has no desire to reconcile with Randall Emmett, with whom she welcomed daughter Ocean earlier this year. “She isn’t going to take Ocean away from her dad,” the source said of their recent hangouts, adding that the film producer has been “trying to win her back over” and “doing anything to make her happy.” While the “Vanderpump Rules” star “will continue to co-parent with Randall,” she is “done with him romantically at this point,” added the insider. A second E! source echoed that “Randall doesn’t want to lose Lala” but that the reality star “has been apartment hunting” and making plans to move out of the home they shared. “Lala is not wanting to work things out with Randall,” said the source. “She’s focused on Ocean, herself and looking to the future. She’s spending time with friends, and Randall is trying to make it work and doesn’t want to call things off.”

On Oct. 21, Scott Disick was snapped at a nightclub in West Hollywood with Instagram model Elizabeth Grace Lindley, who was linked to Lewis Hamilton earlier this year. (Mainstream media outlets have reported that she’s either 20 or 23 — which is in keeping with the father of three’s apparent preference for younger women.) According to DailyMail.com, which has photos, Scott and Elizabeth “left together in a chauffeured car” after partying late into the evening. A few days later, “Entertainment Tonight” reported that, according to a source, the reality star is “getting back to going out and hitting the party scene again” following his September split from Amelia Gray Hamlin and isn’t “dating anyone seriously yet at this point” as he continues struggling with former long-term partner Kourtney Kardashian’s recent engagement to Travis Barker. “Scott has been trying to do his own thing and process Kourtney and Travis’s engagement,” said the source, adding that “he is also trying to get under Kourtney’s skin by being spotted out and about.” The insider also noted that while Scott will always be a part of the Kardashian family, “he doesn’t know if he will choose to be around” them.

On Oct. 22 — a week after Ryan Phillippe and Ashley Moore posed together as part of a larger group at Cinespia’s screening of “I Know What You Did Last Summer” at the Hollywood Forever cemetery in Los Angeles — Deux Moi reported that, according to an anonymous source, they’re dating. (The 47-year-old actor starred in the 1997 “I Know What You Did Last Summer” movie, while the 28-year-old actress currently stars on the Amazon series of the same name.) On Oct. 26, however, Deux Moi reported that, according to a second alleged insider, the romance rumor “isn’t true.” The second anonymous source said that Ashley “has been single” and “focused on her acting career” since she split from Devin Booker — who moved on with Kendall Jenner — in 2018.
Also on Oct. 22, Deux Moi reported that, according to multiple anonymous sources, “You” co-stars Victoria Pedretti and Dylan Arnold — who’ve been seen together multiple times off set — are dating IRL. “She’s pretty crazy about him,” said one alleged insider. A woman claiming to be the “Nashville” alum’s ex-girlfriend also allegedly confirmed the romance rumor to the celebrity gossip platform. On Oct. 26, Deux Moi reported that, according to yet another anonymous source, Victoria “is not in a relationship with her co-star,” though “they may or may not be in the talking stage.” Said the alleged insider, “They have not made it official. She very recently got out of a serious relationship with her long-term partner. She has been wanting to take things slow and focus on herself.”
It’s official! On Oct. 23 — following nearly a year of questions about the nature of their relationship — Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz were snapped holding hands in New York City. (See a photo here.) A few days later, People magazine reported that, according to a source, the couple have been “more relaxed lately” when it comes to sharing their relationship with the public. “They don’t seem to care about hiding their relationship anymore. It’s the love I’ve always dreamed of my whole life,” the “Selling Sunset” star gushed to People magazine, which published exclusive wedding photos. Chimed in the “Flip or Flop” star, “I’m just excited to live this life with her. We’ve got the two babies, we have a family, and we have a very bright future.” Guests included the bride’s “Selling Sunset” co-stars and the groom’s two children with first wife Christina Haack. The wedding was filmed for an upcoming one-hour Discovery+ special, “Tarek and Heather The Big I Do.” The happy couple got engaged in July 2020 after just a year of coupledom.
On Oct. 25, Bachelor Nation stars Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes — who got engaged on the finale of season 17 of “The Bachelorette,” which aired on Aug. 9 — took to Instagram to announce that they recently called it quits. “It is with mutual love and respect that we have decided to go our separate ways. We are so grateful for the moments we shared together and the entire journey that has unfolded this year, but we ultimately have concluded that we are not compatible as life partners, and it is the most caring choice for both of us to move forward independently. We ask for kindness and privacy as we both navigate this transition. Both of us will forever want the best for one another and ask you to please support us in our decision,” they each wrote. (See her post here and his here.) The following day, Us Weekly shed some light on the breakup: “They just couldn’t make the long-distance [relationship] work,” said a source of Katie, who recently moved to San Diego, and Blake, who lives in Canada. “Katie really missed Blake once he left and they would get into little arguments, but at the end of the day, Katie wished he would be with her more,” continued the source, adding that although they “definitely tried” to make things work, the distance “was too difficult for her to deal with” in the end.
In other Bachelor Nation breakup news… On the Oct. 20 episode of Jana Kramer’s “Whine Down” podcast, Clare Crawley opened up about her recent split from Dale Moss: “I loved and have always had such a deep love for Dale. That, A, doesn’t go away overnight and, B, like, I don’t regret that. I loved loving him,” said the former star of “The Bachelorette,” who got engaged to the male model just two weeks into their relationship on season 16 of “The Bachelorette” last year. “It’s the deep pain of … how do you say goodbye to somebody you never wanted to walk away from? You’re having to say goodbye to somebody you don’t want to be saying goodbye to. You have to walk away from somebody you don’t want to walk away from. It’s hard, it’s painful,” she continued, according to E! News, noting that she’s struggled with the juxtaposition of “not wanting somebody to walk away but gladly holding the door for them because they want to walk away.” Added the hairstylist, “I’ll never do that again. If you want to walk away from me, I’ll fight to the death to do what it takes to have a successful, thriving, great relationship.” She went on to say that she felt like she was “met with walls and a guardedness and distrust” in her relationship with Dale. “It’s painful when you feel like somebody who you love deeply doesn’t even have enough respect [for] you to sit down and have a very vulnerable conversation,” she said. “It’s hurtful because it’s like, ‘You think that little of me, but yet, you supposedly love me?'” She also said she doesn’t regret their whirlwind romance, insisting, “If my biggest regret is trusting the process, trusting a man’s words and who he showed me he was, I don’t think that that’s a regret. I trusted somebody. I believed somebody — that they were who they said they were or that they would hold up to the promises that they make when they get down on one knee.”

During the reception, Jesse performed “Party for Two,” a song he wrote for Katie when they got engaged in September 2019 following a courtship of seven years. “It started with just her sense of humor and our compatibility,” the singer-actor told People of falling in love with his missus. “I knew that we just had this effortless way about each other and everything that we did just seemed like it was so easy… We just have a good flow. She knows when to push, she knows when to pull, and vice versa.” Said Katie, “I feel the most comfortable being myself when I’m with him, which I think is really the true tell of when you found your person.”

He reminds me every single day how special I am and he makes me want to be the best possible version of myself.
