Meghan Markle expected to support pal Serena Williams at Wimbledon06/27/2019
Meghan Markle will be getting back into the game for her next royal appearance.
The Duchess of Sussex, who welcomed son Archie Harrison with Prince Harry in early May, is expected to attend Wimbledon next month support friend Serena Williams, a source recently told Entertainment Tonight.
Wimbledon gets underway at the All England Club in London on Monday, July 1.
Although Meghan, 37, has been on maternity leave since giving birth, the royal mom stepped out for her first post-pregnancy appearance in early June for Trooping the Colour celebrations in London, officially marking Queen Elizabeth II’s 93rd birthday.
Following her wedding to Harry, 34, last spring, Meghan made a joint appearance with sister-in-law Kate Middleton at Wimbledon over the summer, when she watched pal Williams, 37, take on Germany’s Angelique Kerber in the Ladies’ Singles Final. Kerber ultimately won the match.
Perhaps Meghan and other members of the royal family, should they attend, will bring Williams a bit of luck this year.
