Liam Hemsworth’s management ‘annoyed’ after split with Miley overshadows film08/18/2019
Liam Hemsworth’s team are said to be “annoyed” that his break-up with Miley Cyrus has taken the focus away from his upcoming movie.
The actor was forced to confirm his split from the American singer after pictures emerged of her kissing Kaitlynn Carter during a girl’s trip to Italy.
The pair, who had only been married for eight months, reportedly parted way weeks before but had kept the situation private.
However, the actor has been left so heartbroken by the break-up that he has pulled-out of all promo events for his upcoming film ‘The Killerman’.
It has been reported that the Hunger Games star was due to attend a series of press interviews, promos and events ahead of the premiere screening of the indie action thriller in Los Angeles next week.
But new reports suggest the 29-year-old actor is so heartbroken that he has refused to go, upsetting his management team in the process.
Speaking to the MailOnline, a source claimed that the star had previously told executives he wanted to help promote the movie, citing it as his best performance in recent years.
But in wake of his very public break-up, he no longer wants to be involved as it would involve flying back to LA, where Miley currently is.
The source also claims that Liam has chosen instead to spend time with his family in a bid to heal the hurt.
They added: “The timing of this split could not have been worse, which has annoyed him and his team.
“He should have been out in public talking about his work instead of hiding away because of his raw emotions.”
However, the claims the Liam has pulled out of scheduled arrangements has been strenuously denied by the film studio.
Blue Fox was forced to issue a statement saying: “While we obviously hoped Liam would be available to travel from Australia to LA to do some press and promo for the film, his availability was never confirmed and therefore, no junket or premiere was ever officially planned.
“Any story saying Liam canceled press is inaccurate.”
