Dyer’s time on the 2021 season of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins was cut short as he was forced to withdraw after his broken rib punctured one of his lungs.

The star was seen struggling to breathe before he fell to the floor on an overnight challenge.

His group were informed that Dyer was “medically withdrawn” from production due to “respiratory problems”.

Ant Middleton said: "Number 12, unfortunately he hasn't made it… I'm only joking, but number 12 is fine, running few tests, he's got his feet up, he's enjoying a nice warm bed. So listen, no worries there."

Kieron has spoken to the Mirror about his injuries, saying: "I got taken to hospital and my broken rib had punctured my lung and it had collapsed. I just couldn’t breathe and then that’s when I keeled over."

Speaking to the Daily Mail, he shared that he had almost got on a flight home before heading back to the hospital and discovering his lung had collapsed.

He said: “I'd had hypothermia, and I had a fractured rib, a collapsed lung, and one of my testicles was as big as an apple.

“When I had my first hospital visit my lung wasn't picked up. I was about to fly but I didn't feel quite right and went to hospital again and they spotted it.”

He also revealed that he had to use painkillers to cope with the pain, saying: “I had to mask the pain and pump myself full of paracetamol.”
