Kate Middleton Is Prim and Posh in a Cream Polo Sweater02/12/2021
Kate Middleton is bringing out her best knitwear for her latest virtual appearance.
On Tuesday, the Duchess of Cambridge chatted with London baby bank Little Village, which is celebrating its fifth anniversary as an organization this week. The duchess talked to representatives to hear how they have continued to support vulnerable families in need amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
For the video call, Kate wore a white knit polo sweater with contrasting black stitch detailing and matching buttons. She paired the prim blouse with mini textured gold hoops. Upon a closer look, you’ll also notice she has a photo of Prince George and Princess Charlotte on their first day of school on the mantle in the background.
Since it’s founding in 2016, Little Village has grown into one of the largest baby banks in the U.K. and is comprised of a network of over 1,800 professionals including midwives and social workers. During the call, the Duchess of Cambridge spoke with multiple members from the Little Village community, including the organization’s founder Sophia Parker and mothers Yelda Rashid and Vicky Jones. Parker explained during the conversation how the organization has made over 7,000 calls to families and helped provide a source of connection and emotional support throughout the pandemic where families and mothers can feel more socially isolated than ever before.
Little Village is an organization that’s dear to the Duchess of Cambridge. Last summer, Kate brought together nineteen different British retailers who donated over 25,000 new items to over 40 baby banks across the U.K. to help families in need.
