Jamie Oliver celebrates 19th wedding anniversary with Jools and our hearts

Today Jamie Oliver and his wife Jools celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary and that’s something to be applauded.

The two lovebirds took to social media earlier on today with Jools sharing a black and white shot in celebration.

She wrote alongside the photobooth image: ‘Happy 19 years married to my absolute favourite’.

In the sweet photo, Jools – who shares five children with the restaurant entrepreneur, Poppy, 17, Daisy, 16, Petal, 10, Buddy Bear, eight, and River, two – was wearing a black and white-striped top, while Jamie looked schmick in a black suit.

He wrapped his arms around his beloved as the pair beamed for the camera.

This is love.

Jools, 44, and Jamie, 43, were teen lovebirds when they began dating way back when, eventually tying the knot in Rickling, Essex, in 2000.

She has been alongside her paramour as he rose through the ranks as a chef and then found massive international fame as The Naked Chef.

In April she shared her love for Jamie, on the 20th anniversary of his first programme of the same name hitting television screens.

‘So it’s been 20 years since the ‘naked chef’ programme first hit our screens and what a ride it has been ❤️,’ she wrote on Instagram.

‘I have loved that we started this journey together and I got to share with you in all the highs and the lows of your career so far.

‘Words can never say how proud of you I am and how absolutely hard you have worked and not just for your self xxx possibly the best boss around love you lots here’s to the next chapter.’

It comes amid a rollercoaster of a ride the past few months has been, with the closure of many of Jamie’s once-popular restaurants.

After 22 of Jamie’s restaurants were shut down in the wake of his empire collapse, rival Italian eatery Frankie and Benny’s has offered to employ those who lost their jobs.

In an interview last August with the Financial Times, Jamie explained he put £7.5 million of his own savings into the business to save it from ruin when it was hours from bankruptcy.

Jamie announced the closure of his restaurants in an email to all staff members, thanking them for putting their ‘heart and souls’ into the job.

In the letter, he wrote: ‘I’m absolutely devastated that we have had no choice but to put our much-loved UK restaurants into administration, which means the fate of Jamie’s Italian UK, Fifteen London and Barbecoa is now in the hands of an administrator, who will be responsible for the operations of these restaurants and their future.

‘I appreciate how difficult this news is for everyone affected and I want to assure you that I have explored every possible avenue available and exhausted all options over the past months to try and save this business.

‘I have personally invested everything I could to try and turn things around.’
