Former Love Island sweethearts Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen have moved into a gorgeous new home of luxury in Essex and have been treating fans to a look at their stunning house.

The couple met in the 2016 series of the reality romance series and came in second place on the show to winners Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde.

Since the show, the pair have gone from strength to strength, becoming engaged in 2017 and going on to marry on September 15, 2018.

Olivia and Alex have also had their own reality series on TLC with Olivia and Alex Said Yes and Olivia and Alex: Happily Ever After.

Now the couple has settled down in Olivia's home turf of Essex and their stunning new home should prove to be the start of a glorious new period in the pair's marriage.

"Everyone I walk through the door I pinch myself, we’re still getting settled and the place needs a fair bit of doing up and re-decorating but we’re excited and ready," explained Olivia to Mirror Online.

"I think it will be finished and exactly how I want it within a year if not before, we’re going to do it room by room, area by area so we can still live in it at the same time as now I’m here I never want to leave."

It's not hard to blame them either when you see what they've shown off on social media!

From what they have shown their millions of followers, the most notable feature of their luxury pad has to be the large garden complete with a large pond with a fountain at the centre, giving a sense of grand size and tranquility to the home.

The sizeable patch of greenery was tended to by a cheerful Alex who looked in his element on his Instagram as he rode a motorised lawnmower to tend to his grounds.

Showing sun-soaked shots of the rural home, Alex wrote: We have moved in…emotions are all over the place. Grateful"

Surrounded by tranquil Essex countryside, the home's views are best sampled from Alex and Olivia's romantic balcony from which Mr Bowen's posts were taken, also showing the immaculate trees and hedges placed around the large yard.

Alex described how much the location of their new home means to him and Olivia when speaking to Mirror Online about "still settling" into their property.

"It’s a big change as, although we loved our last house and it held amazing memories because it was our first home together, it was very overlooked and sometimes that can feel quite trapping," reveals Alex, "whereas the new place is totally on its own and un-surrounded, it just looks on to fields and hills."

Additionally, the home also boasts a front driveway that looks equally grand with a wooden gate entrance and gravely ground that has a fountain placed at its centre, with more trees and hedges accompanying the outside wall. Perfect for Alex's fashion posts.

Not all the decisions regarding the inside of the house have been made, however, as Olivia revealed in an Instagram Story video previously.

"So the first job is hanging up all my clothes," noted the blonde beauty.

"I've not got a dressing room at the moment. Trying to work out at the moment where’s the best place to go and if I’m going to have wardrobes or drawers. There’s a lot of wardrobes in every room. There’s three rooms and there’s wardrobes in every one."

It certainly sounds like the pair will have no shortage of space and Olivia will need it with her vast collections of fashionable frocks and ensembles.

Showing off her clothes in the vast wardrobe, Olivia said on Instagram: "For the moment this will be the room that we hang all of the clothes in. So far I’ve got jeans, blazers, denim coats and then it goes to leather jackets, shorts coats and long coats.

"And in this one I’ve done trousers onto skirts, onto short skirts, onto shirts and then going out tops and jumpers. This is all the stuff I wear the most and this room is the closest to my make-up and everything."

She added: "Going out dresses all organised in a separate bedroom as I don’t wear them often."

Olivia also posed for some mirror selfies and gave fans a glimpse of her peaceful bathroom with an enviably large mirror.

The pair have also been busy at work filming new content for their fans, with shots from Instagram showing the large living room and huge corner-unit sofa as the cameras enter their new home.

There's also a large staircase that the pair have shown off that only adds to the vast size of their abode.

The kitchen with white cupboards and black countertops also look clean and sophisticated, with Olivia posing for one of her sponsored posts seated on the countertop.

It is visible that some appliances are still missing from shots of friends visiting, but Olivia has stressed that it's still a work-in-progress.

The couple seems extremely comfortable in their new space as they enjoy the next stage of marital bliss.

Alex told Mirror Online: "When I was scaffolding back in the day and saw lots of different houses and buildings in different types of areas this was always the type of house and location I dreamt of."

We look forward to seeing what else Alex and Olivia will be showing off in their home in future.
