Gillian McKeith, 63, made quite the impression with ITV viewers when she starred in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2010. The Supersize vs Superskinny star opened up about a scary moment that wasn’t shown on TV.

Gillian recently revealed how campmates are transported to the trials area on the show, explaining she felt like she had been “kidnapped” when she was blindfolded and put in the back of a van.

The TV presenter remembered: “I was once blindfolded and taken in a van that was all blacked out and I didn’t know where I was.

“I felt like I had been kidnapped. It was quite sinister,” she added.

The You Are What You Eat host once famously fainted at the beginning of one particular live trial, which sparked speculation over whether she was faking or not.

She went on to explain that the journey to the trials would leave her feeling nervous and worked up.

“It’s really isolating going to these trials as no one speaks to you and you don’t know what is going on or where you are going,” Gillian explained.

“I was terrified of everything, so I was constantly working myself up to different levels of craziness inside my body,” the star told The Sun.

Gillian seems to continue to defend her famous fainting episode to this day, speaking out about it on a recent episode of This Morning.

Asked what she hated most about her stint in the jungle, Gillian admitted: “Everything! It was horrendous! I was out every single day doing trials!”

“Then you pretended to faint,” Carol Vorderman shot back, but Gillian maintained her innocence.

“I did not pretend to faint,” she insisted. “I have a medical condition.

“I can’t believe you’re mocking it!” she continued. “That’s terrible – since five years old!”

Gillian also admitted to the Sun that she went to extreme lengths to get out of doing trials.

“I tried everything to get out of these trials,” she said.

“I tried telling them I was pregnant and they didn’t believe me,” Gillian admitted.

“I said, ‘I do actually believe I am pregnant and we really must take this seriously.’”

Chris Moyles became the latest campmate to be voted out of I’m A Celebrity last night.

The star followed the likes of Boy George and Charlene White as he left the jungle in sixth place.

The final five campmates include comedian Seann Walsh, Conservative MP Matt Hancock, former Rugby player Mike Tindall, Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner and former England footballer Jill Scott.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9.15pm on ITV.
