Conor McGregor Addressed the Fight He Reportedly Had With Machine Gun Kelly at the VMAs

After breaking his leg at UFC 264, Conor McGregor showed off the progress he has been making in his recovery at the MTV VMAs by walking the red carpet with the help of a cane. And, as should perhaps have been expected of a man with the self-ascribed nickname “Notorious,” it wasn’t long before McGregor’s appearance led to a ruckus, with the MMA pro reportedly getting into a fight with musician Machine Gun Kelly.

According to one source, McGregor approached Kelly and his partner, actress Megan Fox, on the red carpet to ask for a photo, and a scuffle then ensued when Kelly declined, and McGregor threw his drink at Kelly and Fox before being escorted away by security.

Kelly declined to comment on the altercation to reporters for the rest of the evening, but McGregor, who was at the show to present an award, told Entertainment Tonight that “absolutely nothing” happened. “I just showed up… I don’t even know the guy, to be honest,” he said, calling reports of a fight “just rumors.”

“Nothing happened with me,” he continued. “I only fight real fighters, people that actually fight, you know what I mean? I certainly don’t fight little Vanilla Ice boy rappers… I don’t even know the guy, I don’t know anything about him, except that he’s with Megan Fox.”
