Commons Drops New Track ‘Hercules,’ Reveals Album Release Date

Common has dropped “Hercules,” the second song from his upcoming album Let Love.

The rapper also announced that the album will be released on August 30.

“I honestly came up with the title by free styling and I said something about Hercules. The beat is hard and sometimes I just want to rhyme. I’m always on some freedom sh*t. Free your mind. On ‘Hercules,’ we got my man Swizz Beatz too. I got to give it up,” Common said on Beats 1 ahead of the song’s premiere.

The track’s music video features a cameo from Vince Staples.

“Her Love,” featuring Daniel Caesar, was the first song from the album.

Common said the album was inspired by his memoir, titled “Let Love Have the Last Word.”
