Brian May took to his Instagram page to promote his new single Driven By You last night, where he encouraged fans to join him on the popular social media app. The Queen legend began his video by giving fans a teaser of his new single and urged them to share who drives them.

He asked: “Who is it who drives you? Who are you driven by? I’ll go first.”

The 73-year-old then lifted his phone up to the camera to show fans a video of his wife enthusiastically saying, “You can do it, you can do it” as she did several air punches.

In view of his 2.8 million followers, he wrote: “This is my attempt at TikTok Talk! But you guys (‘MY’ folks!) on IG already know where I’m comin’ from… right?(sic)

“However I’ m determined to give BACK TO THE LIGHT its best chance at being a hit in 2021.

“Hmm… what I need is… HELP! What I need is… an army! Right? Anybody up for joining up? Bless ya folks – Bri.”

Many of his fans flocked to his post to comment.

One user wrote: “I’m so down!”

“We are here, your army,” a second added, while a third penned: “This is adorable.”

A fourth commented: “Wonderful, perfect voice my love.”

A fifth added: “This is some great ‘TikTalkin’ Bri – but I am very glad to see you sharing it on IG with us here, because I outright refuse to join that app.”(sic)

Brian has been married to the actress since 2000.

Last year, he praised his spouse for saving his life after he suffered a heart attack.

The rockstar had been recovering from a ripped muscle and trapped nerve when he fell ill and had to have stents fitted.

Recalling how his wife helped, he said on BBC Morning Live: “She did save my life. I had this whole cluster of things go wrong.

“It was a good job it was lockdown in a way but I was incapacitated with the heart attack, complications from the drugs, then I had sciatica so badly.

“I couldn’t even crawl.”

He went on to say Anita had been there for him the whole way through his health ordeal.

“She’s taken care of me and nursed me and whatever,” he continued.

Back in February, the singer said he still didn’t have all his strength back but had been sticking to a healthy lifestyle to help.

He is due to go on tour with Queen from May next year.
