Brian Johnson Says Hes Been Told Not To Discuss AC/DCs Future12/26/2022
AC/DC lead singer Brian Johnson says he has been told not to discuss the band’s future plans.
During the December 19 episode of “Trunk Nation with Eddie Trunk” on SiriusXM, Johnson was asked if the Australian rock band would reconvene to perform live or record a follow up to their 2020 album Power Up.
He replied, “I’m not answering that. Why should I? First of all, there’s five members in this band, and to ask one member isn’t fair.”
When he was pressed on that question again, Johnson said, “Eddie, I cannot answer that. I’ve been told not to by everybody. It’s the official line.”
The last time AC/DC played live in a concert was on September 20, 2016. Unfortunately, Johnson could not take the stage due to hearing loss, and he was replaced by Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose.
On the chances of a future AC/DC album, Johnson could not give a clear answer to Eddie Trunk, but said, “If I say one thing, it’ll be blown out of all proportion. You just can’t afford to talk now. There’s too much blabber on the Internet. And I’m not on any kind of Face-thing or social media at all — never have been. It’s just gossip.”
