Amped-up security for Victoria’s Secret show in Paris

After thieves held up Kim Kardashian in Paris, lingerie line Victoria’s Secret — which is holding its famous fashion show in November in the French capital for the first time — is ramping up security, even carrying out “background checks” on journalists covering the show.

An e-mail to media members applying for accreditation for the Nov. 30 fashion show — which has a tradition of showing off a multimillion-dollar “Fantasy Bra” each year on its runway — said that “due to heightened security, we will be doing background checks on all personnel.”

The message also asked for places of birth, “emergency contact details” and names “as shown on a government-issued ID.”

Company insiders told Page Six no specific threats had been made against the event and that it always “takes security seriously.”

The sources declined to say whether the “heightened security” was in response to the Kardashian heist or the recent spate of terrorist attacks in France.

Kardashian’s half-sister Kendall Jenner will be walking in the televised show, with Bella and Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Irina Shayk.
