Scarlette Douglas has been fronting the much loved property show A Place In The Sun since 2015. In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, the 33-year-old presenter said she is excited to welcome new hosts to the team and already knows a bit about them.

The property expert confirmed that a new male and female will be introduced to viewers at a later date.

“One of the girls, I knew her from before anyway, so that was exciting when I found out she was coming on,” she spilled.

“One of the guys, again I knew him as well, I knew him more from his social media, rather than in person but he’s great.

“The people we’ve got coming on the team are brilliant, it’s such a fun, loving, family-orientated show, so I think having more people join it is great!”

With new members on board, it’s likely that this means less episodes for the current presenters, but Scarlette said she isn’t worried about having less time on screen.

She added: “I’m not sure exactly how it works but even if it does mean that [less episodes] I’m doing so many other things as well at the moment that it would kind of work out well. Everything gets spaced out equally between all my other shows as well.

“I’m not sure if it’s the channel asking for more episodes, which could always be the case.

“I do know I’ve got a lot of at the mo, so I’d rather it be that way then have too many episodes and not be able to fulfil my other duties as well.”(sic)

Scarlette fronts the show alongside the likes of; Jasmine Harman, Laura Hamilton, Danni Menzies, Ben Hillman, Jonnie Irwin and newbie Lee Juggurnauth.

Scarlette shared her thoughts on the presenters ahead of her stint on Love it or List it being aired.

The presenter, alongside her brother Stuart, filmed a special episode of the show as part of the broadcaster’s Black to Front day earlier this month.

The siblings helped homeowners decide whether it was time to renovate their properties or sell up.

On her future plans, the presenter said she would love to front a programme like James Corden’s Late Late show.

She spilled: “James Corden if you’re ever off sick, give me a shout because I would love to front that show, it’s brilliant.

“I love the States as it is, it’s fun, it’s energetic, it’s different.

“I come from an entertainment background, so as much as people know me for property, my other passion is definitely entertainment.

“Singing, dancing, acting, the film world and the fashion world, all that sort of stuff, I love it.”

She added of the host: “He’s very funny.”

While she is best known for her role on A Place In The Sun, Scarlette has also been a reporter for BBC’s The One Show and Points of View.

As well as this, she has appeared in a vast array of musicals all over the world, including X Factor West End Musical I Can’t Sing.

A Place In The Sun continues today at 3pm on Channel 4.
