Shameless alum Richard Flood joins Grey's Anatomy as Karev's replacement

We’ll see how Alex feels about this…

EW has confirmed that Shameless alum Richard Flood is set to recur on season 16 of Grey’s Anatomy as Dr. Cormac Hayes, the new head of Pediatric Surgery at Grey Sloan Memorial. Of course, Alex Karev was the former head of Pediatric Surgery at the hospital before he — along with Richard and Meredith — was fired at the end of season 15.

Now, Alex has relocated to a new hospital, Pac North, where he serves as the chief of surgery. (He previously had a little bit of experience playing chief when he stepped in for Bailey.) And so far, in the role, Karev has managed to hire Richard Webber and Owen Hunt. So if we’re building to a battle of the hospitals, it’s no surprise that Bailey is trying to beef up her staff with a couple new faces as well.

Flood is known for playing Ford, Fiona’s sketchy boyfriend, on two seasons of Shameless.

Grey’s Anatomy airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Spoilers: Callum in danger as Leo make him his next target in EastEnders

Leo King (Tom Wells) has been secretly targeting Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) in EastEnders for the past couple of weeks and, tonight, he prepared to take his plan to the next level by asking Whitney to come back to his place. However, his plans were scuppered due to Whitney’s conflicted feelings over ex-fiancé Callum ‘Halfway’ Highway (Tony Clay). Now — knowing that Callum will be a problem — evil Leo seemigly has plans to remove him from the equation.

After discovering Callum had cheated on her with Ben (Max Bowden), Whitney was left devastated and thus headed off on her honeymoon on her own. Upon her return to Walford, it became apparent that she’d had a whirlwind holiday romance, and viewers were shocked to discover that her new beau was none other than Leo — the son of paedophile Tony (Chris Coghill).

Over the last few weeks, Leo has attempted to get closer to Whitney, and he’s succeeded in doing so thus far, but tonight, he encountered an obstacle — and a pretty big one at that — as Whitney’s feelings for Callum came to the forefront once more.

Leo surprised Whitney at E20 and, as a result, the pair had a drink together. Problems ensued rather quickly, as Callum and Ben arrived — evidently on a date — and Whitney’s mood changed as a result. Nonetheless, Leo upped his game, as he quizzed Whitney about her exes, but she became overly emotional — and just as he was getting her to open up about Tony — a worried Callum approached to see if she was alright.

Leo was fuming that Callum ruined his moment — but Whitney didn’t mind, and thus she sent Leo to get her another drink. Leo knew instantly that Callum was going to be thorn in his side, as with him looking out for Whitney — not to mention her still harbouring feelings for him — getting close to her was going to be particularly tricky.

Whitney attempted to kiss Callum, but he pulled away, informing her that he loves her only as a friend. An emotional Whitney then revealed that she feels as if she doesn’t fit in anywhere, and Callum — sweet as ever — told her that simply isn’t the case at all, but rather everyone else needs to fit in with her.

Touched, Whitney decided to call it a night. Leo glared at Callum — the disdain apparent in his eyes — as he carried her out of E20. Before exiting the premises, Whitney informed Leo she’s not ready for another relationship,

The episode came to a conclusion as a disgruntled Leo scrolled through Whitney’s social media, before stopping at image of her and Callum from happier days. With Callum’s full name on display in the picture, Leo stared at the phone screen — a plan seemingly forming in his head.

Callum’s going to be a problem for Leo for sure, so Leo will no doubt set about removing him from the picture — or, at the very least, from Whitney’s mind.

The question is: how will he go about doing so? And what length is he willing to go to in order to carry out his plan?

EastEnders continues on Monday 21st October at 8pm on BBC One.

Coronation Street fans certain mystery person will stab Josh – not David

In tonight's bumper hour-long Coronation Street, David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) got a horrible surprise that threatened to make his time in prison even worse.

He bumped into his rapist Josh Tucker (Ryan Clayton) after the twisted lad was moved to the same prison and ended up in the hospital wing after being attacked by another inmate.

Corrie spoilers revealed that Josh will be stabbed in next week's prison riot and that David will swear he wasn't involved.

And it turns out viewers are already certain the long-running character will be innocent and not have anything to do with it, like he will say.

In tonight's episode, David told cellmate Abe Crowley (Liam Boyle) that Josh was in prison for raping him, after Abe discovered his crime.

Later, Abe informed David of an impending prison riot, and tried to persuade him to take some drastic action against Josh.

He told him: "You can get away with all sorts when there's a riot."

He went on: "You said if you got him on your own you'd kill him, right? Now's your chance."

But fans are convinced that David won't be the one to stab Josh during the episodes which will air next week.

One said: "David don't get yourself in trouble you're out in three weeks."

Another wrote: "David will do nothing more than give Josh a bad trim."

A third tweeted: "David's no killer."

And a fourth added: "Surely David isnt actually planning to kill Josh?"

In the spoilers, it was revealed that David tells Abe he wants to deal with Josh alone after he's handed a pair of scissors.

Later, he rings home and tells Shona (Julia Goulding) that Josh has been stabbed and she needs to find him a lawyer.

However he denies he's involved in the attack, but she soon sees a video of the riot which shows Josh collapsing from a stab wound and David close by.

Could David really be innocent?

Coronation Street continues Monday at 7.30pm on ITV.

Riverdale Photos: Archie Puts on a Cape for a Super Halloween Episode

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s… Archie Andrews! (And he’s even more squeaky-clean than Superman.)

We’ve got a sneak peek at Riverdale‘s first-ever Halloween episode (airing Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 8/7c on The CW), and Archie and his new pal Mad Dog — sorry, Munroe — are getting into the spooky spirit by dressing up as superheroes. (For all you Archie Comics nerds: Archie is dressed as Pureheart the Powerful, Archie’s superhero alter ego, and Munroe is dressed as The Shield, a patriotic superhero from the comics… who actually pre-dates Captain America!)

We also get a glimpse of Cheryl covered in vines as Batman villain Poison Ivy and Toni dressed as the troublemaking Harley Quinn, playing a game of Ouija with Nana Rose. (The old lady didn’t have to dress up. She’s always on brand for Halloween.) Plus, we get our first look at Claws alum Juan Riedinger as Dodger, a new arrival who already looks like he’d rather trick Archie than treat him. According to the official episode description, “Archie’s plan to create a safe space for the town’s kids gets derailed when some unwanted visitors crash their Halloween party.”

Elsewhere in the episode: “When ominous videotapes begin appearing on doorsteps across Riverdale, widespread fear quickly returns to the town,” and “at Stonewall Prep, Jughead learns about a series of mysterious disappearances that have occurred to former students at the school.” Check out the gallery to the right — or click here for direct access — to get a first look at Riverdale‘s Halloween episode, and then hit the comments below to share your thoughts.

JWoww Blasts Angelina for 'Asking for a Threesome' with Zack on Jersey Shore, Twitter Feud Erupts

“You made it seem like he was a creep and destroyed him in [your] interview,” Jenni hurls at her co-star.

The latest episodes of "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" have sparked an online feud between Jenni "JWoww" Farley and Angelina Pivarnick over Jenni’s then-boyfriend, Zack Clayton Carpinello (also known by his age/nickname, 24).

"Grinding on someone’s man? Asking for a 3 some? Kissing someone else’s BF? That’s a blatant disregard of boundaries," Jenni tweeted mid-way through this week’s episode, prompting Angelina to tweet out less than 10 minutes later, "When I asked about a three some everyone knew it was a joke. I even knocked on their door and was laughing that scene was after the pool and after the fight him and I had. I never had a three some in my life and I sure as hell wouldn’t want one at 33 years old."

Jenni replied to Angelina directly, writing, "Oh ok that makes sense. Glad what you did was a joke, and u grinding on him was a joke… and u kissing him was a joke.. BUT when he joked back, you made it seem like he was a creep and destroyed him in interview. Got it. Makes total sense now."

The threesome comment reportedly happened last Thursday, before the alleged nightclub incident even took place. After Zack grilled Angelina about her sex life at the pool party, everyone came back to the hotel pretty wasted. At one point, Angelina is said to have knocked on Jenni and Zack’s door to ask "for a threesome."

"Are you banging?" she supposedly inquired, before asking Zack, "Is your schlong out?"

Several Twitter users said they "could totally tell" Angelina was "joking," and she maintained she was. "Exactly!!!" she tweeted. "I even left baby oil on the floor and a banana and I said since she has sex with him sooo much I left them a gift. Please it was a joke!!!"

After everything that went down at the club, Zack told Jenni that Angelina kissed him, while Angelina’s story was that Zack grabbed her hip/butt in an "inappropriate" way that made her feel "uncomfortable." Vinny Guadagnino, who was the most sober during the evening in question, didn’t see the kiss (though cameras captured what looked to be a consensual, three-way smooch) but did see the grab. On Thursday’s episode, Angelina denied kissing Zack, only to tweet later on that "IT WAS A KISS ON THE CHEEK!!!"

When one fan pointed out, "Didn’t you even kiss Jenni too?" Angelina replied, "Yes!!!!! Lmfaooooo."

A fan pointed out to Jenni that "[Angelina] tried to get [Zack] to stop earlier in the night when he seemed OBSESSED with her sex life. But he couldn’t leave it alone so as the saying goes, ‘if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.’ She probably figured it was easier to go along with it. He is just strange."

She clapped back, "Really? So her knocking on our door for a threesome was ‘her joining’?"

Another critic tweeted at Farley, "It’s funny that you choose what is a joke & what is not. Any other time you guys make inappropriate jokes & it’s fine but you’re such a hypocrite when it’s about you…"

"Not at all.. I found the whole night funny and no big deal," JWoww replied, claiming Angelina texted her after Vegas to say what a good time she had. "What I dont like is when someone says how fun the night was (in text) and then goes in front of a camera and says the opposite."

Pivarnick did not address that claim.

"All I’m saying is," the same critic went on, "I don’t understand why you’re so upset at Angelina but not 24. If you’re going to be mad, be mad at BOTH. But don’t bully Angelina. I’m not a huge fan of her but wrong is wrong."

Jenni replied, "Who said I’m not mad at both? Both are idiots but they instigated each other… only difference is Angelina gets to talk about it on the show… like if you were that uncomfortable tell me.. don’t tell others and text me how much fun it was."

After retweeting countless messages of support, Angelina posted, "It is what it is.. I have a lot more fish to fry then this bullshit." When one fan told Angelina she was "fighting a losing battle" that was "not even worth it," she replied, "It’s not. Im always wrong. I am sorry she feels this way but I can’t win."

"Jersey Shore: Family Vacation" airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on MTV.

Julie Andrews Reveals 'Times of Sadness' Throughout Her Career in New Memoir

Actress Julie Andrews is one of Hollywood’s living legends. Starring in a myriad of films that showcased her iconic singing voice, Andrews is beloved by fans of all ages.

The Academy Award winner is likely remembered most for her starring roles in the classic films Mary Poppins and The Sound of Music. Andrews just released a new memoir, sharing some behind-the-scenes secrets from those movies as well as personal struggles she endured.

Starting in Hollywood

Though Andrews has remained quite busy recently with voice roles in animated films including the Shrek and Despicable Me franchises, her memoir begins in Los Angeles with her landing the title role in Mary Poppins, for which she won an Oscar.

Andrews wrote “Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years” with her daughter, Emma Walton Hamilton. “It was painful, funny, we wept at times, we laughed our heads off, we drank endless cups of tea. And we worked,” Andrews said, according to People. “It was about a 2½, 3-year project when all is said and done. It was a lot of writing with my daughter, which I enjoyed very, very much.” The two have collaborated in the past on several children’s books.

Film fun facts

Andrews reveals some secrets from the sets of her famous films. One example is sharing that in the iconic opening scene of The Sound of Music, she was knocked down nine times by the filming helicopter’s backwash, as reported by Deadline.

The actress raved about her Mary Poppins co-star Dick Van Dyke, saying the two had an immediate bond. “We hit it off from day one,” Andrews wrote of Van Dyke, according to USA Today. “He was dazzlingly inventive, always in a sunny mood, and he often made me roar with laughter at his antics.”

She also admits to being surprised at herself onscreen when she sees the infamous 1964 film. “If I happen to catch the film [Mary Poppins] these days, I’m struck by the seeming lack of self-consciousness on my part; a freedom and ease that came from total ignorance and flying by the seat of my pants (no pun intended!),” she wrote.

Andrews also commented on the difference in technology compared to today, recalling her scene with the animated penguins and in the carousel sequence. “It took forever to shoot that section, because the horses had to disconnect from one track and then travel along another, much like a train changing rails,” Andrews recalled. “We waited hours for the equipment to be readied, then once we got on the horses, we shot each scene many times until the technical crew was content that they had what they needed.”

Not all a jolly holiday

The Oscar winner also reveals that working on several major motion pictures in succession to then being in the press spotlight was a lot to take in as a young actress. “I made three films and was having a wonderful time because none of them had been released, so I was learning about movies and working hard and all of that,” she said, according to People. “And then suddenly they were all released. And then, everybody was talking about it. It was an assault, really, for awhile. I’m not complaining, believe me.”

Despite her career taking off, Andrews struggled with feelings of despair. “There were times of sadness and many things like that,” she shared. The film star wanted to be transparent in her new book so readers would get a glimpse of her true self. “I wanted to be as frank as I could,” she said. “If I’m going to write a memoir, I might as well be frank as much as I can.”

Andrews gave her book a title that reflects what she was experiencing during those years. “So many things were happening at the time. That’s why I call it “Home Work,” because it’s about the work I was learning to do on movies which I’d never done before,” she said. “And also, homework on myself, to a certain extent — how was I growing, what I was learning in life.”

“Home Work: A Memoir of My Hollywood Years” is on sale now.

The footage shows off a mother (Alien Covenant star Carmen Ejogo ) who finds her child placed in grave peril and is forced to make a dark deal, and it only seems to escalate from there!

The official plot synopsis reads: "Katrina is a single mother driving cross country to start a new life with her young daughter Clara (Apollonia Pratt) when their car breaks down in the middle of nowhere.

"As Katrina changes the tire, Clara wanders off the desert road and is bitten by a venomous rattlesnake. Desperate to save her daughter’s life, Katrina accepts the help of a mysterious woman, but after she miraculously heals Clara, Katrina is asked to repay the good deed by killing a stranger in exchange for the life saved.

"Without time to lose, she must wrestle with the morality of who deserves to live and who should die, before her daughter’s life is once again put in peril at sundown."

Well, we look forward to watching this and not sleeping, as some of the shots in this trailer alone look very unnerving.

Ex-Catwoman Halle Berry Gives Shout Out to New Catwoman Zoe Kravitz

Kravitz will play the character in “The Batman”

We’ve arrived at the 30th anniversary of the release of Tim Burton’s “Batman,” the film that you could argue ushered in the modern age of big screen superheroes. But whether or not you agree with that idea, you can rest assured that you will almost certainly disagree with our rankings of all the Batman movies. Because that’s just how these things go.

  • 15. “Batman and Robin” (1949) is just an abysmal experience, with a bad lead actor wearing a floppy-eared Batsuit. Though The Wizard, a villain original to this serial, is admittedly cool looking, it’s not enough to stem the boredom in this four-hour slog.

  • 14. “Batman” (1943) gets points for novelty thanks to its hilariously over-the-top old fashioned World War II racism. But Batman’s first onscreen appearance lacks pretty much everything that would mark it as an engaging filmgoing experience today. It’s cool that a grandfather clock provides the entrance to the Batcave, though.

  • 13. “Justice League” (2017) is just total nonsense, and unlike “Batman v Superman” can’t even boast a good performance from Affleck as Bruce Wayne. And it doesn’t have the decency to be enjoyably bad like “Batman and Robin” or “The Dark Knight Rises.”

  • 12. “Batman and Robin” (1997) is rightly hated, but it’s tremendously entertaining here and there. Uma Thurman and Arnold Schwarzeneggar are going so far over the top I can’t help but admire them.

  • 11. “The Dark Knight Rises” (2012) probably wasn’t intended to be a grim and gritty Shumacher Batmovie, but that is indeed what it is. This is Nolan going full Hollywood, smashing plot points into place by sheer force of will rather than because they make sense. An extremely theatrical Tom Hardy as Bane is amusing front to back, and a nuke with a countdown clock on it will never get old.

  • 10. “Batman v Superman: The Dawn of Justice” (2016) is nearly saved by Ben Affleck going all-out as Bruce Wayne, but director Zack Snyder just couldn’t keep his plot on track. There’s too much ground to cover, and the movie is too unfocused to ever really cover any of it.

  • 9. “Batman” (1989) is fondly remembered mostly because it was the first Batmovie in a couple decades. It isn’t actually very good, though. The reveal that a younger version of the Joker killed Bruce Wayne’s parents is as hamfistedly dumb as it gets in a “Batman” movie.

  • 8. “Batman v Superman Ultimate Edition” does so much to improve the experience of watching it that it warrants its own entry — it’s basically a completely different move with all the important story beats and character moments it adds.

  • 7. “Batman Forever” (1995) hits just the right tone for what Joel Shumacher was trying to do with the two films he directed. Tommy Lee Jones, as Two Face, is doing stuff in this movie that is hard to believe even today, given his perpetual sour face in nearly every other movie he’s been in.

  • 6. “Batman: Mask of the Phantasm” (1993) Remember that time they released a “Batman” cartoon theatrically? It gets lost amongst all the live-action ones, but “Mask of the Phantasm” is better than most of them.

  • 5. “The Dark Knight” (2008) should be way shorter, but Heath Ledger’s Joker is far and away the best villain in any of these movies. Ledger elevates what would otherwise be just another self-indulgent Christopher Nolan exercise into an endlessly watchable picture.

  • 4. “The LEGO Batman Movie” (2017) is funny, sweet and self-deprecating — exactly what we needed in the wake of the disaster that was “Batman v Superman.”

  • 3. “Batman Begins” (2005) is the most complete film, on its own, in the entire franchise. It’s just, like, a regular movie except it’s about Batman. It has actual characters and everything, and Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne even has emotions. It’s weird.

  • 2. “Batman Returns” (1992) is one of the best of the franchise because it’s really just a political thriller. The Penguin emerges from the sewer and runs for mayor of Gotham! It’s great stuff, especially now that Donald Trump is president.

  • 1. “Batman: The Movie” (1966) has a timelessness that none of the other films do, and it’s just a delight from beginning to end thanks to Adam West’s winking Batman and the coalition of villains who can’t stop cackling maniacally. Watching it again recently, I found it functions almost perfectly as a parody of the super-serious Christopher Nolan Batfilms, which is incredible.

  • Celebrate the anniversary of Tim Burton’s “Batman” by arguing about which Batman movie is the best
